Kumbh Mela 2019 Dates Start 15 jan 2019 to 04 March 2019 . Kumbh Mela Celebration of faith, harmony, and cultures is “Kumbh”. Since the order of Vishnu, Sun, Chandra, Saturn, and Jupiter were also protecting the nectar Kalash and due to the variance in different amounts (lions, Aquarius and Aries), they all became symbols of Kumbh festival.
Thus, due to the association of planets and amounts, the festival of Kumbh also became a festival of astrology. Jayant took 12 days to take the nectar Kalash to heaven and it is believed that one day of the gods is equal to one year of earth. This is the reason that the Kumbh Mela is organized in 12 years on the special combination of planetary zodiac signs at the places mentioned in the period.
