Kumbh Mela 2019 Dates

It is the dimension of knowledge, consciousness and it’s mutual manthan Kumbh Mela which has been used to pull the awakened consciousness of Hindu Dharmavalambians without any invitation from the beginning of time.

The Kumbh festival did not start from the point of view of any history, but its history was made by itself in time. In any case, religious traditions always end up on the basis of faith and belief, not on history. It can be said that Kumbh like Kumbh is organized to keep the cultured cultures in one formula.

Kumbh literally means ‘Kalash’ and ‘Kalash’ is related to the nectar of the urn. The talk is about the time when the two sides agreed to the sea churn after the Devasur Sangram. It was churning the sea and the mathani and the neti also wanted the same account.

In such a scenario, the Mandarachal mountain mathani was made and Nag Vasuki was his leader. Fourteen gems were obtained from the Manthan which were shared with each other. But when the Dhanvantri gave Amrit Kalash to the Gods, then the situation of war arose. Then Lord Vishnu himself took the form of Mohini and talked of giving nectar to everyone and handed over the responsibility of the nectar urn to Indra-son Jayant.

When Jayant was running to protect the nectar from the demons after receiving the nectar-vase, the drops of nectar dropped in four places on earth – Haridwar, Nasik, Ujain, and Prayagraj. Since the order of Vishnu, Sun, Chandra, Saturn, and Jupiter were also protecting the nectar Kalash and due to the variance in different amounts (lions, Aquarius and Aries), they all became symbols of Kumbh festival.

Thus, due to the association of planets and amounts, the festival of Kumbh also became a festival of astrology. Jayant took 12 days to take the nectar Kalash to heaven and it is believed that one day of the gods is equal to one year of earth. This is the reason that the Kumbh Mela is organized in 12 years on the special combination of planetary zodiac signs at the places mentioned in the period.
